Our Story



I am Joseph, the face behind Jöey Nordic Seed Crisps. I am a part-time “amateur” farmer based in Prince Edward County.

Over the last 15 years, I have worked for several global food & beverage companies such as Kraft, Unilever, Hershey, McDonald’s, and Mondelez International as a consumer strategist understanding how and what consumers want to eat and drink.

I love food and travel. My trip to beautiful Sweden in 2019 inspired me to create Jöey Nordic Seed Crisps. I discovered crisp bread on the trip, but most crisp bread is wheat-based and thick like a slice of bread. Given we are a gluten-free household, I decided to recreate crisp bread and make it crispier, gluten-free and better for you. I have spent the last three years tweaking and refining the recipe.

In August 2022, I launched our seed crisps at a farmers’ market in Prince Edward County. Fast forward a few months, and you can now find our products at local gourmet and specialty food stores as well as top wineries.
